which I could not get to run smoothely or anywhere near acceptable speeds. I also managed to set up a SSH-server on it and remotely installed the default JDK 11.0 kit, and a minecraft server by using PuTTY and psftp.

It's now flashed through the Pine64 Installer with the Ubuntu 18.04 Bionic image (build 0.7.9-1067) which booted up no problem first try! Might also be worth noting I have VERY little experience working with linux, I've only ever owned windows machines but I've messed with ubuntu machines a bit in some programming courses so it's better than the 0 experience I have with any of the other options in the installer. I'm running the OS on a flashed 128GB, UHS-1 SanDisk ((still Very new to SBC so this felt like the less daunting option vs eMMc)) which I accidentally first flashed a RockPro64 image on and then emptied by formatting it back, using the SD Association's SDFormatter.

I got this board specifically because of it's price-to-performance ratio, I'm looking to set this up as a minecraft server machine for my friends and after some quick searching on speccs and seeing others doing the same with their pine64 boards I thought it'd be the best option for the price. I have a sneaking suspicion it's because I've done something wrong but am not sure where to go from here. I'm writing here because while I've gotten it booted up 'n running, I still feel like the performance is very underwhelming.

I haven't changed anything on any of my servers(I set up 2), I have not touched anything on either of them, aside from trying to start them up, build on them and download my progress/stuff, since over a month ago.I'm a newcomer to the world of SBC's and got my 4-GB Rock64 delivered yesterday, so of course I've been spending most of today fidgeting and trying to get it to boot properly. Show the current time the server will shut down /shutdowntime HH:MM Set the shutdown time. If you understood how frustrating it is to see everything suddenly blocked off after spending weeks or even months working on it, without any way to save or secure it, you'd be the same as me. I personally don't even want to be on the forums, I have to watch them hoping to see fixes on the downloads, but seems it's best to just cut my losses and disappointment.

I am at my limit, and all the non-answers and the lack of useful information is just not something I tolerate. Furthermore, I can't even download the stuff I did to try other solutions safely without losing everything. I have NOT had any issues until they started messing with the Panel and what not.

Lastly, Preinstalled : Look at it from my perspective, I am a PC Gamer, I've spent more than 20 years working with and fixing PCs among other things, involving PCs. 3 days of 0 downloads after hours of download attempts, yeah, no. Constantly telling people to download every few hours and it may work, is not tolerable. I mean, they have direct access to the host nodes, as they own it, you would think they'd address the issue. There is no definitive solution or attempts. Then, the whole download incident started, that has been going for a good while now and brought up with nothing but non-answer replies. I was able to log on without issue and play on my server without issue. In the example above, the server is scheduled to restart daily at 5:00 AM starting January 31st, 2019. Run For: Select Server from the dropdown list. Command: From the dropdown list, select Restart. There have been stacks of issues occurring since the whole panel incident months back. Interval: Check the box and set the interval to how often you would like your server to restart. Secondly, Koroonotchii : How is saying "there may have been some issue" advice or helpful information? That's a non-answer. However, I've changed nothing on my server, and considering how well the whole Downloading Worlds/Schematics has been addressed, why should I even bother getting too involved? Everything was fine aside from minor issues I could solve on my own, if I could download it. Whether it be helpful or unhelpful advice, you shouldn't really respond in that way because, at the end of the day, we're trying to help you.įirstly, to Fadeless : Considering the issues with my server started occurring AFTER all the updates to the panel and such, it's clearly not on my end. You're replying to this thread on a public forum, so expect people to quote you with advice or helpful information. You need to understand that Minehut is a freemium host that relies on Community Support, which is what Preinstalled was giving you. It's not a case of him "trying to raise his post count", he's giving you advice that could possibly answer your question. Just to add on to above, in case you don't know, /dl logs and /timings are the commands that you need. Have you tried asking for help? Sending logs/timings of your server?
